I'm a real live boy...
One of mom and dad's favorite games with Fred is making him our own little puppet. Our Fred puppetry is becoming more and more advance and complex. Here is a video of a recent manipulation of our poor little boy - but we were amused! Yes, this is now what we do on a rocking saturday night. My apologies on watching the clip sideways, I rotated the camera and I can't figure out how to rotate it back, tilt your head - it's still funny.

Making new friends!
Fred has met so many people and I haven't been able to describe all our wonderful visits, but last week Fred had a blast meeting Kathleen, who has already completely spoiled him. She got her baby fix, and then went to visits Fred's buddy Noah. Mom also had a fabulous time to get caught up with such a great friend. We are hoping for many more visits this summer.
Over two months and full of tricks!
I'm so bad at keeping the blog up to date mostly because I'm chasing after Fred (well not literally since you know, he can't get from place to place without me). He has just exploded with recognizing my voice, focusing on Dad and I giving smiles, and holding his head up and starting to play with toys. Unfortunately, this 2 month milestone was greeted with immunizations. Fred did much better than mom, mostly because Grandpa Philips held his little legs down and then comforted him out in the waiting room. We are loving our family time and play time! We also like measuring him to scale, you know with any random objects - like a house plant! We just laugh at how small he is, yet he is getting to be so big!

Meet Aunt Molly
I wanted to write about this at Easter time but I didn't have time. The day before Easter Aunt Molly finally got to meet Fred! They came up and had so much fun! He was so happy to see her and I think she him (just wait till she gets home from college and see how big he has gotten)! She was able to hold him and play, we had missed her so much during the first few weeks, so it was great to get to see them bond with the little time they had. Fred had anxiously been waiting to meet the person who was behind all the screaming, as one of Aunt Molly's favorite past time was to scream at mommy's belly when she was pregnant a very enthusiastic "HELLO BABY!" Fred did not seemed to be scared by such treatment and was rather mellow. Aunt Molly seems a little resistant to dirty diapers or any type of bodily function -I'm not sure why as a smitten new parent I still think they are adorable (but after seeing what it takes to deliver a child, a dirty diaper is nothing). Grandma also came and she showed Fred how to do the Freddy (with Aunt Molly's and mommy's help of course). See the video below it was way fun - although the Freddy/ie debate still rages (we are leaning towards Freddy - to be consistent with Harry). We are so anxious for Aunt Molly to come and play with us this summer, she's going to be a way cool aunt who Fred is going to love hanging out with.

Two Peas in a Pod
So where has my newborn gone?! He is a big boy already, proved on my visit to see Noah! Who is the most adorable of newborn peanuts. Now Fred weighed more at birth, but still looking at him today he's already growing so fast! Yet as Abby said when they are closer to two years old, they'll be exactly the same just about. Fred enjoyed his new best buddy immensely and can't wait for the next play date.

The Faces of Fred
So last year I taught a course where the kids made movies on the schools PCs. Then when we bought our mac and got the video camera for Christmas and I didn't know a thing about imovie so Stan and I started playing and trying to teach ourselves this new program. I've been working on this silly little movie, single-handily (literally - I did a lot of editing while nursing). I know only a mother can stare at their child for hours on end and be entertained, but perhaps you will find these two minutes amusing. It's a tribute to Seinfeld.
